recommendation
We heard today that the arrival of Deanna and Peter's children could be anytime now... I thought it best to remind everyone that I am collecting the funds for the stroller. Deanna and Peter have said this would be a very useful gift.
The stroller pictured here is not necessarily the one we hope to purchase but I recommend something very similar. This is much more useful than having side by side - some grocery aisles are very narrow. The big wheels are important - and you need a good suspension system. My stroller was my lifeline to the outside world. It allowed me to get outside and walk everyday ...

good idea i think... :) so exciting to await the arrival of these long expected twins...!
Muryn has volunteered to host a shower for Deanna, while Julianna has offered her place for a shower for Amy. It therefore remains to be seen just what the dates of those events will be-- depends on what those babies think, mostly!
I had also heard Amy was to be induced possibly today, can anyone confirm that? Let's keep the moms and babies in our prayers...
Amy is being induced today...but I was told by Gabe that it can take up to 4 days for the inducement to take effect.
I suggest we plan something for the end of February/begining of March for Amy. or however close we can get to the start of Lent and still be able to eat chocolate!
I can eat chocolate during lent.
it's neither meat nor dairy:)
(but I don't care much for chocolate... I know, I know - gasp!)
Maybe Friday in Cheesefare week would work, then? -- that is March 3rd. People seem to go for Fridays, though it doesn't have to be. I do know the Tuesday that week has a choir practice.
And as for chocolate, well--- just keep watching Spruce Island. There will be a follow-up on Chocolodoxy in advance of Valentine's Day...;-)
So we could do one shower on the 3rd and one the week before? I guess the only one we can really plan is Amy's cause we don't know how long those twins will stay in! Should we plan Amy's for the 3rd and then plan the Deanna's once they arrive?
Friday, March 3rd... will be the night of the Project Mexico Coffee House and Silent Auction.
I'm just waiting back to hear about the venue.
What about having Amy's shower at the clubhouse in their community? say...in the next week or two? That would make it a nice easy stroll acrossed the driveway for Amy...and we can all pitch in to decorate and clean up? What say you all? The Vancouver crowd seem to be the most likely to hit the highway too. We could all pile in and make a day of it if it were on say...Feb 11 or 18th?
