A note from Fr. Lawrence

Father has asked me to post this note of thanks to our parish community -- Mat. Donna

I would like to thank you all, from the bottom of my aging, increasingly-decrepit heart, for all the kindness and love shown to me this last weekend--the singing of the Many Years, the cake, the signs and balloons in the church hall, the high-jacking of the priest by some of the men to a restaurant in Langley, all the many expressions of kindness and congratulation--all makes growing old no bad thing. I am grateful to God for you all, and I thank Him (and you) for your love. --Fr. Lawrence

Many, many, many, many years Father! (and then even many more) We'll follow you to the ends of the earth, even to the very heart of Mordor.

I would have loved to be part of the hijacking myself, but certain, um, duties have arisen in my life these days. Ah well -- Many Years, Father, and thank you for taking time out from your special day to church my kids!
