Christ is in our midst!

Good morning family and friends of St Herman's;
I've been reminding everyone this week of the Peace Conference. So, forgive me for reminding you again. :)
My friend Andrew who is organizing this event says,

"Also, I would like to remind you that the keynote address on Friday, June 1st @ 7:00pm in room A225/229 of the UFV Campus is a free public lecture and will be delivered by David Goa, Director of the Chester Ronning Institute on the Study of Religion and Public Life at the University of Alberta, entitled “Religion and Peacemaking: Rethinking Muhammad and Healing the Heart of Muslims and Christians.”
Again, if you would like to attend the conference, but something is preventing you from doing so, please contact Andrew at andrew.klager@ufv.ca to make suitable arrangements."

I had the distinct pleasure of meeting David Goa two summers ago, at our Diocesan Council. He is lovely, sharp, and I would say, "Orthodoxy with balls" (forgive me)!

Love;
-Mark Basil

The conference was very good.
For me it was like a furnace actually; I feel tested and tempered by it. May God reshape me a little closer to his likeness before I cool down.

If anyone would like to hear anything about it, or discuss anything related to peace, nonviolence, etc, please feel free to email me:
man or they [all one word] at gmail dot com.

Love;
